Included with the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS dash cam is a Full HD 1080P rear camera, which, once installed at the back of the vehicle, records what’s happening behind the car. Footage from both the front and rear cameras provides a complete view of the situation on the road.
Reversing Cam

The rear camera can be connected to the reverse light (wiring included), allowing the rear view to be displayed automatically when the driver shifts into reverse gear. In this mode, guiding lines also appear on the screen to make reversing and parking easier.

Full-surface mirror display
The large 9.66-inch (24.5 cm) display covers the entire mirror surface, which greatly improves image visibility, especially in reversing mode. This allows the driver to use the dash cam with the same comfort as a standard rear-view mirror.

Loop Recording
Don’t worry about space on your memory card
The Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS records videos in a loop. This means that when the memory card becomes full, the oldest recordings are automatically overwritten with new ones. As a result, the camera operates continuously without the need to manually manage the card’s storage.
G-Sensor
Advanced G-Sensor
The built-in G-sensor in the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS detects sudden changes in the vehicle’s movement (e.g., collisions or abrupt braking) and automatically protects the current recording from being deleted or overwritten when such an event is detected.

Enhanced safety while parking
When the camera is connected to a constant power source using the Prido Hardwire Kit HK2 (not included), the device can continue operating even after the engine is turned off and the car is parked. Three parking modes are available: G-sensor shock-activated mode, time-lapse recording, and continuous monitoring mode.

The Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS dash cam records in cinematic 4K resolution – 3840x2160 pixels. With such image parameters, the quality and detail of the recordings are exceptionally high. This makes it easier to capture events on the road accurately and identify key elements such as license plates of vehicles involved in a road incident.
The set includes a rear camera module that records in Full HD 1080p – 1920x1080 pixels. This specification is optimal for rear-view footage, which is generally less dynamic than front-facing recordings. The extremely high detail of the 4K front camera combined with the solid Full HD recording from the rear camera ensures that the user of the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS always has a full overview of any situation that occurs on the road.
Reversing Camera Function
The rear camera module is equipped with a reversing function. After connecting the included wiring to the reverse light circuit, the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS will automatically switch to reversing mode (rear camera view) every time the driver selects reverse gear. Additionally, in this mode the rear camera view will display colored guide lines that help identify potential obstacles and make parking easier.
Full-Surface Mirror Display
The entire front panel of the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS is a high-quality touchscreen with an excellent response time. The screen measures 9.66 inches, or 24.54 centimeters. Using the entire mirror surface greatly improves navigation through device functions, viewing recorded footage, and using the front and rear camera previews.
If the user prefers the screen to look like a traditional rear-view mirror, they can simply turn the display off or activate the built-in screensaver, which turns the surface back into a reflective mirror.
Wi-Fi Module
Unlike its predecessor, the Prido X6 GPS, the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS is equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 module, allowing it to communicate wirelessly with the free Prido GO app (available for Android and iOS).
The Wi-Fi 6 module offers significantly faster data transfer than older-generation modules, making wireless downloading of files stored on the memory card and adjusting camera settings quick and effortless.
GPS Module
Every Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS dash cam comes with a GPS module that enables the recording of speed and location data for the vehicle in which the camera is installed. Such data can be especially valuable in the event of a road incident. Thanks to the video recording, precise location, and speed information from the specific section of the route, it is possible to accurately determine the circumstances of the incident and thereby prove lack of fault to the police or insurer.
Voice Control
Prido consistently prioritizes the safety of its customers, which is why the Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS is equipped with a voice control feature. With simple commands, the driver can adjust basic functions of the device, allowing them to operate the camera without taking their hands off the steering wheel.
Parking Mode
The Prido X8 4K Wi-Fi GPS dash cam offers three parking modes: classic, timelapse, and continuous recording. In classic mode, the camera wakes up and records an event when its built-in G-Sensor detects an impact, such as the car being hit. In timelapse mode, the camera captures single frames and compiles them into a time-lapse video, allowing the driver to quickly review what happened around the vehicle while it was unattended. In continuous mode, the camera records uninterruptedly, just like during regular driving.
To use parking modes, the Prido Hardwire Kit HK2 constant power module (not included) is required.
